Year End Employment Law Updates

As the end of the year approaches, MSF’s Employment team, Andrea NeumanGregg Kligman and Samantha Frenchman, outline what New York employers should do to prepare for changes in wage and hour obligations that go into effect on December 31, 2022 and to comply with additional recent changes in the law impacting employer obligations. Many other states will see similar wage and hour changes in 2023. While considering the impact of these changes, employers should ensure their pay notices and paystubs are updated to comply with legal requirements. Failure to comply with the new and existing requirements could subject a non-compliant employer to significant financial liability.
