Susan Schlesinger is a Partner at MSF in the Intellectual Property Group. Ms. Schlesinger leads the Intellectual Property Group’s Trademark Practice and advises on intellectual property litigation, transactions and prosecution. Ms. Schlesinger’s experience covers a wide range of consumer products and industries from apparel, food, and mobile applications to restaurant, communication and entertainment services.
Ms. Schlesinger has litigated disputes involving trademark infringements, patent infringements, copyright infringements, unfair competition, misappropriation, unfair trade practices, trade secrets and other federal and common law claims. She routinely represents clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Proceedings.
Ms. Schlesinger advises clients on worldwide brand strategies, protection and enforcement and assists clients with trademark clearance and prosecution. Ms. Schlesinger’s transactional work includes drafting and negotiating various intellectual property agreements including license agreements, collaboration agreements, manufacturing and distribution agreements, production agreements, co-existence agreements and conducting due diligence on intellectual property assets in business transactions and acquisitions.

Before joining MSF in 2012, Ms. Schlesinger was in the intellectual property group at McCarter & English, LLP and was with the intellectual property boutique firm, Grimes & Battersby, LLP. Prior to entering the practice of law, Ms. Schlesinger worked in the entertainment industry at Actors’ Equity Association.
