Scott Newmark is a Partner at MSF and Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Group. Mr. Newmark is active in all aspects of the firm’s real estate practice, including sales and acquisitions, leasing, financing, loan workouts and deal restructuring and condominium and cooperative offerings. Mr. Newmark’s clients range from institutional property owners, developers and tenants to young entrepreneurs who may be entering into their first purchase or lease and need the guidance Mr. Newmark’s years of expertise can provide. Mr. Newmark’s real estate expertise is leveraged regularly by MSF’s litigators to analyze causes of action and potential defenses in complex real estate litigations.

Represented the landlord in the preparation and negotiation of a 98,000 rsf office lease with Comcast Corporation.
Represented the purchaser in the $156,000,000 acquisition of a 1,332-unit apartment complex in Tribeca and the withdrawal of the property from the Mitchell-Lama program.
Represented the landlord in the preparation and negotiation of a 68,000 rsf retail lease with Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Represented the seller in the $109,000,000 sale of a 633,000 square foot office complex in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Represented the purchaser in the $68,000,000 acquisition of an apartment project, consisting of 1,025 residential apartments and related commercial facilities in Collingswood, New Jersey.
Represented the purchaser in the $16,000,000 acquisition of a 16 building apartment complex, containing 456 residential apartments in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Represented the owner in the purchase of a 102-unit luxury apartment complex and the conversion of the property to a condominium, including preparation of offering plan and representation before the New York State Department of Law.
