MSF Partner Jeffrey Schreiber successfully represented the business manager of a medical practice who was sued for allegedly aiding and abetting the doctor’s breach of fiduciary duty to the doctor’s former business partner, a chiropractor. The claims arose out of a business divorce between the doctor and the chiropractor that resulted in the implosion of a multi-million dollar physiatry practice in midtown Manhattan. Schreiber, and co-counsel Helen Chaitman of Chaitman LLP, obtained a jury verdict of no damages for their client after a five-day jury trial on the chiropractor’s claim that the chiropractor and his LLC had allegedly suffered $10 million in damages as a result of the claimed breach of fiduciary duty.
