Gregory Cayne is a taxation & estates associate in the New York office of Meister Seelig & Fein. Mr. Cayne’s practice focuses on estate and trust planning and administration. He develops and implements estate, gift, GST and income tax planning strategies through the use of wills, trusts, advanced directives and other estate planning instruments and agreements. He also counsels clients on structuring asset protection plans and business succession planning. Other focuses of his practice include international estate planning, assistance with elder law issues, as well as medicaid and special needs planning.
Mr. Cayne frequently represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries and assists in all aspects of estate and trust administration including probate proceedings, transfer of assets, post-mortem tax planning, and the preparation of estate tax and fiduciary income tax returns, and fiduciary accountings. He believes in using a “team approach” and works closely with accountants, financial advisors, etc., to better identify clients’ goals and find creative and appropriate solutions.

Immediately prior to joining MSF in 2019, Gregory worked at Berdon LLP, a top 35 public accounting and advisory firm in their Personal Wealth Services department and prior to that Gregory was an associate at Rivkin Radler LLP in its Trusts & Estates practice group.
