Members of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group routinely provide advice, counseling and transactional representation to clients involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry.

For example, attorneys in the IP Group represent high-profile celebrities in connection with endorsement and licensing agreements, work with world-renowned fashion models and international film stars in their licensing and promotional ventures, and counsel several leading developers of social media applications with regard to IP and privacy issues. IP Group attorneys also represent authors, literary and music publishers, record and home video labels and distributors, music and comedy festival producers, live event venues, musicians, composers for film and television, producers of film, television, music and advertising, actors, directors and screenwriters. In addition, the IP Group provides counsel on all aspects of film and television production, distribution and financing; assists the estates of prominent authors and artists with the preservation, management and licensing of archive and IP assets; acts on behalf of a leading digital advertising and branding company in a series of deals with Fortune 100 companies; serves as outside trademark licensing counsel to major consumer products concerns; and represents a major investor in leading Broadway musical productions. In the transactional area, members of the IP Group also regularly assist the firm’s corporate attorneys with M&A deals involving entertainment-related assets, acquisitions and related due diligence.
