Brook Boyd

Mr. Boyd has been a lawyer for over 30 years and has a broad range of experience in real estate, corporate, and commercial transactions and related litigation. He has represented banks and trust companies, investment banks, credit unions, investors, developers, general contractors, airline and tour operators, manufacturers and traders, and a wide variety of other companies and individuals.

He has been quoted extensively by various publications including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and Le Monde. He is the author of Real Estate Financing (Law Journal Press), a treatise on financings and restructurings, now in its 24th edition, as well as over 19 articles on real estate, financial and commercial topics, and chapters in various multi-volume Matthew Bender treatises. He has lectured for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the American Bar Association, ALI/ABA, Law Seminars International, the New School, the New York State Bar Association, the NYU Real Estate Institute, the University of Miami Law School and other organizations.

Mr. Boyd is admitted to practice law in the states of New York, New Jersey and Florida. Mr. Boyd received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University (A.B., 1975), magna cum laude, and his law degree from Duke Law School (J.D., 1978), which awarded him an American Jurisprudence Prize.
