Mitchell Schuster

Commercial, business-tort and intellectual property litigation

Mitchell Schuster is a partner in the Litigation Department and the Administrative Partner of the firm. Mr. Schuster is a skilled and experienced litigator with substantial jury trial experience who has handled complex civil matters in State and Federal Court. His practice is concentrated in general business and commercial matters where he has represented corporations, insurance carriers and individuals in a wide variety of matters including business-torts, employment issues, insurance disputes as well as products liability claims.

While a significant portion of Mr. Schuster's practice focuses on "litigation avoidance", his extensive jury trial experience and willingness to go to trial have served to provide his clients with outstanding results in both State and Federal Court. Most recently, Mr. Schuster obtained a multi-million dollar verdict on behalf of a luxury hotel and its insurer in a four week jury trial in the United States District Court in Boston arising from a deadly hotel fire.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Schuster provides counsel to members of the NFL, NHL and MLB as well as recording artists and talent in the motion picture and television industries in a wide variety of practice areas including crisis management, estate and insurance planning, the formation and administering of their charitable entities, endorsement and appearance agreements and investment opportunities. Mr. Schuster also works with these celebrities and athletes in pursuing recovery from fraud and assisting them in all aspects of new business ventures.

Mr. Schuster is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law where he served as an editor for the Property Law Journal.
