Elaine M. Rogers is a partner and co-chair of the Entertainment and New Media department at Meister Seelig & Fein LLP. Ms. Rogers' counsels clients in all aspects of the entertainment and new media industry including publishing, fashion, licensing, promotion, advertising, interactive media, theater, motion pictures, television including talent, film and production companies, and music, as well as representation within the sport industry including professional athletes and broadcasters.
Ms. Rogers has been listed in The National Registry of America's Who's Who (2000) and graced the cover as one of Boston Magazine's “The Best Lawyers” in entertainment law. She has been named a Massachusetts' Super Lawyer and featured in ABA Women in Communications Law “Women to Watch”.
Prior to joining Meister Seelig & Fein LLP, Ms. Rogers was principal of Fish & Richardson PC, and a member of the firm's media and entertainment practice group. Fish & Richardson PC is an international law firm and one of the largest in the United States practicing intellectual property, litigation, and corporate law.
As a film and television agent with Kneerim & Williams at Fish & Richardson PC, the firm's literary and dramatic rights agency, Ms. Rogers has packaged, placed and/or negotiated a number of film/television deals with studios, distributors, networks, and financiers. She has also produced feature film and television programs.
Prior to joining the field of law, Ms. Rogers worked as an advertising and public relations executive for several of the world's largest firms including Burson-Marsteller, Saatchi & Saatchi (The Rowland Group), and WPP, managing a variety of entertainment, consumer, corporate, and health care accounts.
Ms. Rogers is a clinical field supervisor in entertainment law for the internship program at Suffolk University Law School. She has authored a chapter on “Recent Trends and Hot Topics in Advertising Law” for Aspatore Books: Managing Advertising & Marketing Legal Issues: Leading Lawyers on Preventing Claims, Handling Disputes, and Understanding Recent Trends and Developments. Ms. Rogers is a member of the council of advisers for Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts, The Boston Bar Arts & Entertainment Committee and on the Board of Directors of No Limits Media.
